Crónica y periodismo de entre siglos en la literatura latinoamericana

Presentación

El presente monográfico está dedicado al estudio de las interacciones que se produjeron a finales de siglo XIX entre periodismo y literatura y que desembocaron en el nacimiento de la crónica modernista y del pensamiento de la modernidad. En el primer ensayo, Beatriz Colombi analiza tales interacciones y las repercusiones que tuvieron a lo largo del siglo XX. Mercedes Serna trabaja dichas relaciones, expuestas por Beatriz Colombi, e incorpora otras, en las crónicas de José Martí (1853-1895), Remedios Mataix, en las de José Asunción Silva (1865-1896) y Florence Toussaint, en el periodismo de Ángel de Campo (1868-1908).

This monograph is dedicated to the study of the interactions that took place at the end of the 19th century between journalism and literature and that led to the birth of the modernist chronicle and the thought of modernity. In the first essay, Beatriz Colombi analyzes such interactions and the repercussions they had throughout the 20th century. Mercedes Serna works on these relationships, exposed by Beatriz Colombi, and incorporates others, in the chronicles of José Martí (1853-1895), Remedios Mataix, in those of José Asunción Silva (1865-1896) and Florence Toussaint, in the journalism of Ángel de Campo (1868-1908).
